Safeguarding Children:

Core Group Minutes

The responsibility for taking minutes and updating the child protection plan at core groups is the social worker’s. The focus of core group meetings will be reviewing the delivery of the child protection plan and the outcomes that this is achieving for the child(ren). After each core group meeting an updated child protection plan will be distributed to core group members. If for any reason, e.g. illness on the day, the social worker cannot attend a core group, the meeting should still go ahead with one member taking responsibility for updating the plan. Notes from the meeting should then be forwarded to the social worker who will update the plan and circulate it to all core group members.
