Aims

The aim of this session is to introduce practitioners to the categories of abuse and the Care Act.

Objectives

By the end of the session the course participants will have been informed how:

  • To identify risk and vulnerability to abuse and neglect.
  • To understand their duties and responsibilities for individuals and organisations.
  • To identify the key safeguarding principles of the Care Act.
  • To identify ways of working together and information sharing.
