Target Audience

This course is aimed at practitioners who work within the children’s workforce as part of universal service or provide an early help service. As well as those who work within specialist services which sit under statutory intervention who wish to gain an understanding of what is child sexual exploitation (CSE) and online safety.

The aim of this course is to promote practitioner awareness of what is ‘Child Sexual Exploitation' and online safety.


By the end of the session the course participants will have been informed how:

  • To identify definitions of CSE
  • To categorise indicators of CSE
  • To recognise who is at risk and consider levels of vulnerability
  • To recognise who is at risk of online grooming.
  • To differentiate the roles and responsibilities of agencies involved, information sharing and consent.
