Target Audience

This course is aimed at practitioners who work within the children’s workforce as part of universal service or provide an early help service. As well as those who work within specialist services which sit under statutory intervention, who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of Dometic Abuse.

The aim of this course is to offer practitioners the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the impact of Domestic Abuse on Children and families, also offering details of support services and referral pathways.


By the end of the session the course participants will have been informed how:

  • To raise awareness around Domestic Abuse and provide the participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence that is required to work in partnership with families.
  • To identify early support and interventions for these children and the families to reduce the harm experienced and safeguard them
  • To understand Domestic Abuse.
  • To describe different types of Domestic Abuse.
  • To sign post people to local services who can offer support relating to Domestic Abuse.
