Target Audience

This course is aimed at practitioners who work within the children’s workforce. This includes universal services, education, charities and those who provide an early help service or for those practitioners who work within specialist services at statutory intervention level who wish to gain a better understanding of how to support young people with their emotional health.

Aims

The aim of this course is to enhance the understanding of practitioners in Children’s well-being, how this differs from mental health and the importance of positive well-being for growth and development.

Objectives

By the end of the session the course participants will have been informed how:

  • To identify risks associated to Emotional Health and Well-Being such as anxiety and depression
  • To understand the effects of bullying and grief
  • To be aware of the five ways to well-being and how these can impact on young people
  • To identify ways of supporting a young person around their Emotional Health and Well-Being
