This course is aimed at practitioners who work within the Children and Adults workforce as part of universal service or provide an early help service. As well as those who work within specialist services which sit under statutory intervention who wish to gain an insight into how to engage the ‘Hidden male’ within the assessment process and to gain a better understanding of how services can support the ‘Whole family’ approach.

To give practitioners a better understanding of the term ‘Hidden men’ and the importance of engaging all family members within the assessment process.
By the end of the session the course participants will have been informed how:
• To give an understanding of what the term ‘Hidden men’ means.
• To understand the impact of ‘Hidden men’ on the wider family context.
• To be able to incorporate ‘Hidden men’ into the assessment process
• To be able to recognise signs of ‘Hidden men’.
