Aims
The aim of this course is for practitioners who have safeguarding responsibilities to understand the concepts of Safeguarding & Child Protection and how they relate to their job. As well as to look at their role within a national context against the relevant legislation.
Objectives
By the end of the session the course participants will have been informed how:
- To understand your responsibilities as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- To manage local issues and best practice in this area.
- To be able to recognise and respond to concerns appropriately.
- To share information appropriately with other professionals and agencies.
