Aims
The aim of this course is to offer practitioners the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the impact of Domestic Abuse on Children and families, also offering details of support services and the opportunity to understand the multi-agency responses.
Objectives
By the end of the session the course participants will have been informed how:
- To define domestic violence and abuse.
- To understand prevalence of domestic violence and abuse.
- To recognise domestic violence and abuse.
- To understand the effect of domestic violence and abuse on children as well as their families.
- To develop methods of working which promote fair and inclusive practice.
- To work alongside multi-agency colleagues.
- To know what do when DA is identified or disclosed.
