Aims

The aim of this course is to support the knowledge base of staff by raising awareness of the key learning themes from serious case and serious adult reviews that have taken place across, Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Cumbria and Lancashire. To ensure these are communicated effectively to/among front line practitioners and are embedded into front line practice to prevent future occurrences of a similar nature. .

Objectives

By the end of the session the course participants will have been informed how:

  • To be able to identify the key learning themes arising from safeguarding serious case and serious adult reviews
  • How this is communicated within your service
  • How to ensure the lessons learnt from National and Pan Lancashire Serious Case/Adult Reviews are incorporated into working practices
  • How different agencies work together in this process
