The Blackpool Way

  • Date: 31-01-2019
  • Venue: Various

As you are aware in recent months there has been significant changes to Blackpool Children’s Social Care protocols, procedures and models. Blackpool Safeguarding Children Board recognise the need to disseminate these changes into an easy, accessible one day course. This course is called ‘The Blackpool Way’ and replaces the ‘Early Help Assessment Form Training’, ‘Embedding the Resilience Therapy Training’, the ‘Risk Sensible Model’ and ‘Working Together’. If you have attended all of these courses in the past 12 months, there will be no need to apply for this course as the messages are similar throughout.

Target Audience

This course is aimed at practitioners who work within the children’s workforce as part of universal service or provide an early help service. As well as those who work within specialist services which sit under statutory intervention who wish to gain an insight into the key working practices needed to work with children and families within Blackpool.
