Target Audience

This offer is intended for all state-funded education settings in Blackpool, including academies, special schools, pupil referral units and alternative provision. All settings should nominate someone to attend training – this could be a mental health lead, SENCo, pastoral lead or SLT member.

Aims:

  • To better equip schools and colleges to promote children and young people’s wellbeing, resilience, and recovery in response to Covid-19.
  • To strengthen and build wellbeing and resilience.
  • To prevent the onset of mental health problems and ensure those with pre-existing or emerging difficulties access the right support.

Objectives:

  • Increase knowledge of the potential mental health and wellbeing impact of Covid-19 on staff
  • Increase knowledge of the mental health and wellbeing impact of Covid-19 on children and young people and parents and carers.
