Safeguarding Children:

Private Fostering - for Parents and Carers

Private Fostering

A privately fostered child is any child under the age of 16 (or 18 if Disabled) who is cared for by an adult who is not their parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, step parent (including civil partnerships), sister or brother, where the child is to be cared for in that person's home for 28 days or more.

If your child is being cared for under such an arrangement, or if you are the carer for somebody else's child, within Blackpool, you need to notify the Local authority on 01253 477299.
