Whistle blowing is the term used when someone who works in / for an organisation wishes to raise concerns about malpractice within that organisation.
For general guidance please refer to the Pan Lancashire Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Children Manual.
If a professional has concerns
If any employee, volunteer or others have genuine concerns about any aspect of their agency or organisation's work, they should be encouraged to come forward and speak out under the auspices of a Whistle Blowing Policy. If you have concerns about your agency or organisation please see your employing agency policy for details.
Developing a Whistle blowing policy
BSCB expects that each organisation will have their own whistle blowing policy for staff.
